Teaching and living in a yoga space has been the most wonderful way for me to be of service on this planet. It allows me to meet the most interesting and open people (that’s you by the way). During my meditation this morning I met so much resistance that I had to pause, feel into what was pushing me away from reaching a calm state, note the body part that was creating the resistance. The practice of simply observing, not labelling but noticing where the resistance is in my body became my sole practice this morning. It gave me a greater appreciation of how we all struggle sometimes, the learning is in the knowing and acceptance.
During these weeks of being away with part of my family, these early morning moments to myself have been golden. Carving out time each morning for meditation while the sunrise trickles across my face. Walking for as long as I can before stopping for tea where I can. All these practices fill my cup and allow me to greet each new day. When I make time to appreciate life to embrace my yoga & be present life becomes more whole. Yesterday while I sat by myself in a little bakery, I drank my tea, ate my pastry and gave thanks for each part of my life. The coming back to gratitude is all part of living a whole life. It’s an essential part of each day.
