Book a Class

Have you established your weekly Mind/ Body routine?

Our lives can get so hectic, so busy that if we don’t take the time at the start of each day to ground down then we shoot out. Work, family, partners, friends, pets the list goes on all demand so much of our resources. There are even some of us who wear the busy badge with pride! The everyday things we do become who we are, the people we surround ourselves with, the mindset of not enough time not enough of anything to go round. While we all can’t hire a personal chef, mind coach and trainer we can do alot of this ground work ourselves.

If you want to be in the best shape mentally & physically then it all begins with a routine. The benefits of getting your metaphorical house in order are well proven. Tidy mind, tidy house. During yoga you are taken out of your mind and into your body. You learn to release tension, move intelligently and feel more calm, present & relaxed in your own body. So Monday morning join me 7am for 10 minutes of journalling, followed by 35 minutes of movement (it’s alot of movement). Book into this class here.

The last Sunset yoga class of 2022 is this Wednesday 7pm at Seapoint. I’d love to see you there, wear a few layers flow with me. This week will be all evening salutations, I will have cacao for before class setting the base for a deep and heartwarming practice. Join me by booking in here.

Park yoga continues each Saturday 11am in Herbert Park. To join me in this class click here.

And finally, I am planning a retreat for 2023, alot of you have been asking for one. It will be special and I will keep you posted. Have a wonderful week and shine bright you beautiful bountiful diamonds.

Much love,

x Chris

Enjoying the last of the summer sun

Hello lovelies, it’s been a fab few days here in Dublin. Park Yoga & sunset yoga have been pretty wonderful. There is something so special about gathering together and practicing yoga under the big blue sky. Change is in the air though, while it was 16 degrees for yoga Saturday every so often a cold breeze would come right after a burst of sunshine, a reminder that colder weather is coming.

Last year we continued practicing outside until December, it’s possible just remember to wear a few layers. Sunset yoga will continue for another 2 weeks, I’d love you to join me for these final 2 weeks of yoga overlooking Dublin bay. To book into this class click here.

While the Earth is beginning to get colder the desire to stay in bed and not do so much during winter might creep in. However do try to get up, do some gentle exercise and if you can go outside. This has so many benefits for your well being, the first gentle touch of sunlight on your eyes enhances your mood for the day while also helping you get better sleep that night. So while it can be hard to set a morning routine that involves sunlight even a 30 minute walk or run after your yoga or meditation will set you up for the day. Try this for a winter habit.

Starting the week in the right way

We all know that feeling, rolling out of bed Monday morning the beginning of a new week. Why do we compare Monday to the weekend? Monday means the start of a new week, sitting in a category all of it’s own.

Starting this Monday 05th at 7am we will begin a new type of class. A class to set intentions for how we face the coming week. Intention setting is about long term gain rather than short terms goals. For example I am going to keep my brain active, how – by reading books, journals, articles, taking a gallery tour. I am going to commit to fitness, how – by practicing yoga every day, by going to the gym twice a week, by running. I am going to love myself, how – by telling myself I Iove you every morning, by getting to bed on time each night, by surrounding myself with people who support me and nurture me. These are the types of prompts we will use for our journalling.

So this Monday morning we will take 10 minutes at the start of this new class to commit to an intention. You will write it down, commit to the intention and revisit that intention throughout the week. Then we will move for 30 minutes and take 5 minutes Savasana. 45 minutes to help start your week in a positive and intentional way. Join here

Testimonials

I was so sad and sorry when my last yoga teacher decided to move home to Italy. I thought I would never find a better teacher & then… I found Chris. She delivers a wonderfully unique class which is a marriage of movement and breath. Her class delivers a complete workout for whatever level you’re at, whilst being easy on the body and calming the mind. I look forward to every class and have never felt stronger or better.

Christine conveys an immense passion for yoga. Her energy is palpable. She also has a discerning understanding of how the body works when practicing yoga. I really enjoy her classes which leave me feeling full of positivity!

Christine is a great yoga teacher and I recommend you give her a go.  She is very spiritual but her love of family and her surroundings come through clearly in her teaching - I have wished so many times to be with her in Dublin on the beach, in the studio, in the park! I have loved her classes via Zoom and her early morning Rise and Shine class has been a fantastic start to my day.  She is very knowledgeable and clearly puts a lot into planning each month and each week. Her classes are well prepared and she takes time to explain positions with variations too so that it is suitable for many levels. Having practised with her for 6 months, she keeps her practice interesting with different themes so that no 2 classes are completely the same.  I am loving my yoga journey with her and look forward to it continuing for many years.

N. Roberts

Absolutely love Chris’s yoga classes. It has become a staple part of my week to keep my mind clear and my body right. Chris is a fantastic teacher and I especially enjoy her meditation and reflections during class. Chris herself is such a fantastic person both inside and out and her light is infectious!
